A day at the race

New Zealander Glen Alan Chadwick, right, of team Navigators Insurance speeds by the Blue Willow Inn in Social Circle on Saturday afternoon during the Tour de Georgia Stage 6 sprint leg. Chadwick and two other leaders reached the sprint a full six minutes ahead of the rest of the pack. Once in Rockdale, the cyclists traveled down Haralson Mill Road and over the Haralson Mill Covered Bridge. While the ride over the wooden slats was a bit bumpy for the riders, it made a delightful vista for the spectators. The final stage will begin today and conclude in Atlanta. Among past winners of the Tour de Georgia are famed U.S. riders Floyd Landis and Lance Armstrong.
