I worked with Colin for five and a half years at the Hawaii Tribune-Herald and every minute of it was a treat. As a photojournalist, I can attest that he is an amazing teammate when on assignment or in the newsroom. He was never in the way of getting the shot and trusted my visual skills to help tell the story as I trusted his skills to write the story.

Colin was also a great resource and colleague to me when I was trying to write a caption for my photos and the words were lost in the ether of my non-writing skilled photography brain. He never made me feel inadequate when the words wouldn’t come and was only encouraging and helpful.
